Sourcing Coordinator

JOB FUNCTION

Supports the Sourcing and Purchasing Department by monitoring and maintaining all sourcing and/or compliance related processes, procedures, and tracking.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Enter and create purchase orders based on requests
• Acknowledge POs from vendor confirmations
• Receive and allocate POs for various established programs
• Manage and reconcile the payment schedule for invoices and POs
• Correspond with suppliers to obtain order and production status
• Track shipments
• Update shipping information and acknowledge shipments upon delivery/arrival
• Enter and maintain pricing information in system
• Support product development team by recording and tracking fabric/garment test samples
• Review and log the fabric test results and status reports
• Support buying process by reviewing testing results; ensure product specification is met
• Process vendor claims as needed
• Review paperwork for completeness/accuracy and file appropriately

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 1-3 years' experience in a sourcing/buying role
• General knowledge on garment manufacturing
• Proficient PC skills, including MS Office and experience with an MRP system
• Superior data entry skills
• Extremely accurate and detail oriented with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to prioritize and follow tasks through to completion
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Open-minded, self-starter with the ability to adapt, improve processes and find solutions
• Ability to effectively work with others in the department and to interact with others at all levels of the company
