IT Technical Support Technician

Propper International is currently recruiting for a IT Technical Support Technician to join our St. Louis IT Department.

JOB FUNCTION

Ensure 24/7/365 network functionality while supporting the IT Department initiatives and providing front end user support to employees in an effective and timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Monitor server infrastructure and perform general maintenance
• Assist in new server hardware and software applications as needed
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput and latency)
• Assist with network security by performing diagnostic tests
• Ensure back-up, recovery and file maintenance
• Troubleshoot system failures and correct the failure
• Administer windows server and active directory (AD, DHCP, DNS)
• Set up user accounts, access levels, permissions and passwords for desktops, laptops and phones
• Responsible for installation and maintenance of user devices including laptops, desktops, printers, routers, VPN, etc.
• Issue, track and monitor company cell phones
• Provide front end user training for new hires or as needed
• Assist with system integration projects
• Assist IT Director with ERP Business Analyst duties (i.e. report writing, updates)
• Assist management in defining network policies and procedures

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
• 2 4 years' industry experience
• Experience with desktop applications
• Strong SQL experience is required
• SQL server reporting services a plus
• Visual Basic a plus
• Knowledge of VMWare and Hyper-V; Meraki network switches is a plus
• Ability to speak Spanish a plus
