A Day in the Life:

As our Amazon Order Specialist, your day begins by accessing the Amazon Vendor Central portal to review and process new orders. You meticulously follow Amazon's routing instructions, ensuring every order is accurately entered and updated in the system. Throughout the day, you maintain detailed tracking of all orders-whether new, routed, problematic, or shipped-ensuring our records are always up-to-date. When issues arise, you promptly communicate them to the management team, enabling swift resolutions and preventing delays.

You adhere to our Standard Operating Procedures, which helps maintain consistency and compliance in all your tasks. Proactively, you follow up on assigned orders to guarantee their timely processing and completion. Your role includes performing routine clerical duties with precision, responding professionally to customer inquiries about routing schedules, and providing accurate information to resolve any issues they might have.

You manage and maintain comprehensive records of collections and payments, ensuring they align with corporate policies. Part of your day involves reconciling and verifying billings received to ensure accuracy. You summarize and document all route accounting activities clearly and concisely, ensuring our records are impeccable.

Compliance is a significant part of your role, ensuring all corporate policies in route settlement functions are met with high standards of integrity and accuracy. You troubleshoot shipping problems and errors promptly, minimizing operational disruptions. Monitoring on-time dock performance is crucial, and you address any issues that might impact schedules. Updating Staging POD 5s and managing resource allocation effectively are part of your responsibilities to optimize efficiency.

You maintain performance tracking metrics for on-time dock performance, utilization, and misloads, providing regular reports to management. Your in-depth understanding of shipping requirements, rules, and obligations by carrier, destination, and package type ensures our operations run smoothly and in compliance with all necessary regulations.

The Right Candidate Will Have:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree or higher preferred. They will bring previous experience in a similar role or in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management. Proficiency in using Amazon Vendor Central and Apprise systems is essential, along with a strong understanding of shipping requirements, rules, and obligations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, are crucial. The ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are all vital. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively will ensure success in this role.
